Die Woud accommodates 140 guests and we would love to welcome you to the venue of your dreams. Our versatile indoor and outdoor facilities are perfect for everything from team building to corporate events, birthday gatherings, baby showers and everything in between.
We are situated just outside of the beautiful little town of Caledon, in the Overberg Western Cape, which is 113kms east of Cape Town’s city centre.
Not too far out of the city, but just enough to get away.
In the ‘open-air-church’ guests are seated in between the towering wattle trees and a wooden altar is where you will get to kiss-the-bride. Guests make their way through a tranquil nature walk towards the epitome of a fairytale set-up. The grandeur of oak trees sets the scene where wooden tables are lit up by twinkling lights from crystal chandeliers above.
A glass marquee will accommodate you for the evening, allowing the outside elements to be apart of the setting. As the sun dips behind the horizon and the stars begin to shine the dance floor and atmosphere comes to life like an enchanted affaire.
Die Woud is also available as a venue for any other occasion – be this your year-end function, bridal shower, engagement shoot, book launch, or anything else that might suit our magical venue.
The facilities include functional and elegant furniture which is set up for your use on the day. This includes dining tables and chairs, lounge furniture inside the venue and benches for the outside. We provide extra furniture for hire should the need arise.

The food was mind blowing and the set up and it was such a beautiful day even though i was super late lol will post some pictures on instagram and tag Die Woud in it.

Sonder uitsondering het ons gaste met groot lof gepraat van die 5-ster diens, die top-gehalte van die verversings, die pragtige onthaal fasiliteit en die ambiance van die plek en omgewing. Wow. What can we say… We are so so happy with our wedding last Friday! It literally couldn’t have been any better.
We have many people to thank for this, but none of it would have been possible without you and your teams hard work. You were amazing to work with both in the lead up to the wedding as well as on the day, and we always felt completely safe in your hands.
You work at a very special venue, but I know from experience that a venue is nothing without brilliant people – and Die Woud has found some seriously brilliant people!
The compliments we received on the food didn’t stop for the entire long weekend. You and the team in the kitchen did some seriously amazing work.

Die Woud Shuttle Service
The shuttle service is available all day until the wedding ends. All collections to Die Woud has to be booked well in advance before the start of the wedding please.
Transfers to Die Woud:
For transfers to Die Woud please contact reservation via email or 073 3031 995 for availability. The last trip will leave 30min before the ceremony begins. Communal pick-up can also be arranged from the Caledon Casino where guest can park their vehicles in a secure parking area.
Return trips will be available from 22:00 and will leave every half hour until the wedding ends. Guest will be dropped at their respective guesthouses within Caledon. Should they stay outside of Caledon and wish to be taken there, please ask for the relevant pricing.
- 1-4 passengers R280.00 per one-way trip
- 5-9 Passengers R350.00 per one-way trip
For bridal couples who book the shuttle service different packages are available and can also be customised to their preference.
